LUNASOL® Colloidal Metallic Silver recently set the “Benchmark” for all of the major Australian Colloidal Silver water manufacturers to match. As many as possible of the leading brand names, and commercially sold, colloidal silver water products were purchased and analysed with the sophisticated equipment usually only found at university or government research centres. This study was conducted to find out which brand of commercially produced colloidal silver should be used to re-investigate some of the medicinal claims about silver that had continuously been made for over 100 years. The quality and consistency of the colloidal silver product was the critical criteria. In the laboratory tests the colloidal silver in all of the samples collected were accurately evaluated to find out the total amount of silver in the solution (ppm) and the ratio of metallic silver particles (Agº) to Ionic silver (Ag ). They then ranked all of the products according to their metallic silver content (Agº) and quality standards.
LUNASOL®was also subjected to the same stringent testing. LUNASOL® was found to contain over 50% of the total silver suspended in the hydrosol as pure nano-sized metallic silver particles. It is this pure metallic silver (Ag) that is the most desired type of silver that should be found in a colloidal silver solution (or hydrosol). Every other colloidal silver product tested in this study contained rather high amounts of Ionic silver. In some cases the total silver detected was over 90% Ionic silver. Today’s scientific tests are showing that Ionic silver is not necessarily the most desirable form of silver for controlling infectious conditions and for general health purposes. LUNASOL®was the outstanding product and after the testing had been completed and a peer reviewed paper was presented, LUNASOL® was selected by the Universities’ Medicinal Chemical Group for their continuing research projects.
